Andrew L. Vandale was born on July 27, 1827 in Greenbrier County, Virginia.
He was a prominent citizen in the town of Spencer. He was elected Sheriff in
1890 and served for 20 years as deputy and then Sheriff. He died on January
12, 1906 in Roane County, West Virginia.

Andrew L Vandal was one or more times the Sheriff of Roane County. "Uncle Andy
and his wife Aunt Becca" as they were known to their many friends and
neighbors were the great grandparents of George A. Vandale and June
Vandale-Varda.
