Canadian Vandals (French)

    If you are a Canadian Vandal you might want to consider this. This web site follows the ancestors and descendants of Abraham Vandal. He was actually born with the Dutch surname of Wendell but since the letter "W" is pronounced as we say a "V" in Holland it is speculated that when he went into the Army during the Revolutionary War and they asked what his name was he said "Vandal" which is the Dutch pronunciation of Wendell. All of Abraham's siblings kept the spelling as Wendell. Over the years different families have changed the spelling of their Vandal name many different ways but are all descendants of Abraham.
